Kiawah
Thermo Ash finished Decking & Cladding
Kiawah uses Thermally Modified Ash to start with a deep rich brown color. Our finish process enhances that look and helps to maintain the color as the boards are exposed to the elements. Our customers told us they wanted to keep that Walnutty goodness so Kiawah embraces that look. Ash is not naturally an exterior species but through thermal modification, it no longer absorbs water and is dimensionally stable. While not tropical wood hardness, Ash is quite hard to be a durable decking product. We have finished a lot of Thermo Ash but Kiawah is our chosen look to keep that deep brown color based on a lot of customer requests.

Standard Alpha Profiles for Decking & Cladding
For decking we use a standard S4S, E4E (surfaced 4 sides, eased on 4 edges) profile that can face screwed or grooved for hidden fastener install. However when used for cladding we have chosen a few additional profiles based on the popularity and performance for either vertical or horizontal cladding applications. If your design requires something different, custom profiles are also available but may incur additional production time and cost. Feel free to browse our moulding profile database for many more options.
