Jatoba finished Decking & Cladding

Kona uses Jatoba (AKA Brazilian Cherry) to start with a translucent finish and a small amount of pigment that enhances the natural reds in the wood. The result is a fiery beauty that reminds us of the volcanos of Hawaii. In fact we have had many homes there use this product for their decks and outdoor living spaces. Jatoba is a very hard tropical wood that is extremely durable both to weather and rot but also to the day to day wear and tear that a deck can face. Jatoba is one of the few tropical decking woods that can also be sourced in some larger sizes and posts so your designs need not be limited to just decking boards. This is our Jatoba finished decking solution! It is a luxurious look and the class A fire rating only adds to the peace of mind of when incorporating it into your projects.

Standard Alpha Profiles for Decking & Cladding
For decking we use a standard S4S, E4E (surfaced 4 sides, eased on 4 edges) profile that can face screwed or grooved for hidden fastener install. However when used for cladding we have chosen a few additional profiles based on the popularity and performance for either vertical or horizontal cladding applications. If your design requires something different, custom profiles are also available but may incur additional production time and cost. Feel free to browse our moulding profile database for many more options.
