Softwood Lumber

J. Gibson McIlvain Co is a softwood lumber supplier with products from Douglas Fir to Western Red Cedar and Alaskan Yellow Cedar.  These are the primary species we keep in stock but many other can be had for special orders.  Contact us and we can talk about your project.

Softwood Lumber Grades

We specialize in high end softwood lumber for siding, T&G flooring or ceiling.  Our softwood grades are primarily Clear Vertical Grain (CVG) and clear or select and better.  Other grades and species are available upon request. In most instances projects require special millwork treatments that supersede the grade or in some cases require a specific grade and those situations will be handled on an order by order basis.
